I know that a lot of people don't care for Vegas, but I really like it. There is a ton of shopping, good food, warm weather, and the fountain at the Bellagio.
I could make it a full time job to sit and watch the fountain. I love hearing the music and watching the water rise and fall in all different designs. And in between the each display, I could people watch to my heart's content. Now, I know this is not everyone's idea of fun, but it is truly one of my very favorite things!
On our last night in Vegas my mom and I ventured out to go and see the fountain before we had to go home. It was surprisingly super cold and really windy, but we decided to brave the weather and began our walk to see our favorite site. We get there and are informed over the loud speaker that due to the high wind conditions the fountain will not be going off. I was so disappointed.
My mom and I decided to continue to walk a little bit further down the Strip for some hot chocolate on our way back to our hotel. On our way back we were passing the Bellagio and wouldn't you believe it, the fountain started going off.
The only problem was we were on the other side of Las Vegas Boulevard. However; when there is a will there is a way. My mom and I both made a mad dash across the six lanes of traffic and were able to see the rest of the fountain show.
