On the 4th, a small group of us went to hang out at the beach. It was about time, we have had such rainy weather that the sunshine and beach time was a total treat! Around 6 I headed down to the Charles river to join some friends to watch the fireworks. A huge shout out to great friends that went super early to save seats! (They got there about 2 to reserve a spot for the fireworks at 10:30 that night.) Lucky Unders, Uno, Brazilian kisses, and guitars helped to pass the time away. Then the show began. It was incredible. Actually incredible doesn't even begin to describe it. The fireworks filled the sky. It was better than any grand finale I have ever seen at Stadium of Fire and it went on for 21, yes I said 21 minutes! I just laid down and watched the sky light up. You could feel every boom vibrate through your body and I just watched in total amazement. It was better than I could have ever expected!

Everyone Should Experience This!
This 4th of July was the best ever! I am such a lucky girl! The festivities started on Friday. We packed up snacks, games, blankets, umbrellas, and lawn chairs and braved carrying all of this onto the T. (This is quite a feat!) Then we waited in line to go reserve a spot on the lawn of the Hatch Shell to watch the rehearsal of the Boston Pops concert. This year the guest artist was none other than Neil Diamond! Yes, I did know some of the words to his songs and we were lucky enough to hear "Comin' to America" twice. The 1812 Overture with cannons was also really cool. It was totally fun and a great way to start of the holiday weekend.
