misadventures of miss me

QUEBEC CITY, CANADA

For Valentine's Day weekend a group of seven of us went up to Quebec to go to the winter festival there.  It was so amazing!  I LOVE that city.  It was so beautiful.

first stop... Ice Hotel

I was totally excited to go here.  After seeing the ice hotel in a James Bond movie, I have always wanted to see one. It did not disappoint.  They had a ton of different theme rooms including a Fluer de Lis, Eclipse, Grecian Paradise, Aquarium, and others.  They also had a chapel, an ice slide, and a bar.

next...  Winter Festival
This was actually a little bit of a let down for me.  I was expecting something bigger and better.  But hey, I got to go snow rafting for the 1st ever.  And if you wondered where they got the human body mascot idea for community check out the mascot for the Festival.

later... Poutine is a truly Quebec/Canadian food.  It is french fries with gravy and cheese curds.  I had heard it was a must have.  Honestly, I prefer cheese fries and dipping sauce from Training Table.

next day...  We checked out Quebec City.  It was such a beautiful city.  It was what I imagine Eastern Europe  (or at least what I imagine Prague) to be like.  We walked around, saw the best lingerie ever (yes it is a full fishnet bodysuit complete with leopard print handcuffs), and had some great crepes for lunch.
