Growing up in Utah, I actually really enjoyed the 4 seasons, a range of temperatures, and even inclement weather. All of that changed after spending a short time of my life in Southern California. My new weather forecast consisted of sunny and in the 80's. Ideal!!! And completely realistic in Los Angeles. I remember what a rude awakening I had upon my return to Utah. Gray skies (thanks inversion), unbearably hot or cold temperatures, and rain/snow combo's... UGGHHHH!!!! I did not adjust well.
Fast forward 4 years...Boston weather. I had no idea what "real" weather could be like. The word Nor'Easter sends chills down my spine (unless accompanied by the words Church cancelled). But as much as I did not adjust to Utah weather after Cali, I have finally learned to change my frame of reference here in Boston.
Hence 60 is my new 80. I find I enjoy it just as much.
