Church is a whole new experience here in Boston. I happen to belong to a great ward with an awesome bishop and great friendly people. Relief Society and Sunday School were good and Sacrament Meeting was awesome. I happen to belong in the ward with Jane Clayson Johnson (her husband is in the bishopric.) They both spoke and it was really inspiring and uplifting. It was so nice to see how different this ward functions compared to my last single's ward.
I was super excited because after church my roommates and I were going to join some friends up at Walden Pond. My roommate and I go to get in her car and we cannot find it anywhere. We walk up and down the cobblestone sidewalk way too many times in our high heels (which is not easy) and we have no idea where it can be. (You may be wondering why were parked on the street. Our church doesn't have a parking lot, so you have to park on the streets nearby.) Finally, we decided that either it was stolen or towed. At least she had her cell phone with her and she googled to find out what to do if your car gets towed in Cambridge. She started calling the towing companies and we found her car. We got a friend to take us to Pat's Towing and were finally able to get in to her car.
We didn't end up going to Walden but settled instead for going to Fresh Pond. It was beautiful and I had a great time looking at the changing leaves and rippling lake.
Lesson learned: Double check to make sure you didn't park in front of a driveway!
