Just a month ago, I LOVED water. If I went out to eat, water was my drink of choice. Occasionally, I would treat myself to a Coke, not diet, but the original good, sugary Coke. That doesn't mean I didn't like Diet Coke, but generally in order to have a Diet Coke I would need some form of chocolate to go with it, usually peanut M&M's.
However; since I moved to Boston I have become addicted to Diet Coke, chocolate or no chocolate. Forget drinking water. I am not really sure how this even happened. I guess it was inevitable, after all it is the drink of choice for my mother and almost all of my friends.
Well, on Friday night I went out to dinner with some of my friends. I had a really hard day and so I felt completely justified in ordering a Diet Coke. I got about 3 refills during the course of the dinner as each of my friends also refilled their drinks (okay, we all got Diet Cokes, as I said, it was inevitable.) Imagine our dismay when we get the bill and discover we had to pay for each glass of Diet Coke. Apparently they don't understand the concept of free refills and our lovely server didn't see any reason to share this piece of information with us. Don't worry we only spent $24 dollars on Diet Coke!

$24 on Diet Coke is a complete ripoff!! And I'm Diet Coke's biggest fan!
That's funny! Is it that way at most restaurants there? I hope the soda still helped you have a better night.

Great story!
Who knew there were still places that don't offer free refills???
